I am born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. I started acting for television and film at the age of 6 years old. I spent much of my childhood traveling and working between San Francisco and Los Angeles until I got to high school. At that point I discovered the joy of theater performance. I also started working for theater conservatory camps as a counselor for children and realized that I truly loved teaching young people. I graduated from the University of Southern California with high honors and a BA in Theater Arts. By now, I discovered that my passion is in children and family entertainment.

I spend the next three years in LA working for companies and creating projects that share my value in making good art for young people. I became a member of The Story Pirates which is an arts organization that take the words and ideas of young people and turn them into sketch comedy and songs. I started my company called Kids at Heart Productions which focus on making digit content for kids. We believe in creating shows that foster imagination and creativity in children. I also continued to perform in theater and teaching after school classes. I was a teaching artist for many companies in LA.

I moved back to the Bay Area in 2013 when I booked a new musical that toured to elementary schools. I officially joined Bay Area Children’s Theatre as a resident artist that year and worked in their tours, mainstage shows, and directed and choreographed for their youth programming. As a choreographer, I helped form the first incarnation of their award-winning Advanced Performers program that highlight talented young performers. We took the group to the Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta, Georgia where we won Best Choreography. I also had my choreography nominated for a Theatre Bay Area Award for their original musical, The Day the Crayons Quit. While living in the Bay Area, I became a member of Artist Equity Association, was nominated for multiple scholarships and awards, and flexed my directing and teaching muscles.

Through the guidance of my mentor, CEO and Founder of Bay Area Children’s Theatre, Nina Meehan, and the support of family and friends, I made the life-changing move to New York City in 2017. While in NYC, I found even more artists who create work for young people. NYC afforded me some amazing opportunities.  I was a teaching artist for Atlantic Theater Company, Disney Theatrical Group, and New York City Children’s Theater. I was an Artistic Associate for The Story Pirates and a new company member with Spellbound Theater which is a company that produces work for 0-5 year olds. I directed new work, including the world premiere musical, She Persisted the Musical based on the bestselling children's book by Chelsea Clinton. I was awarded the Emerging Leader Fellowship for 2019 as well as the New York City Children’s Theater Leader Fellowship for 2019-2020 season. From August of 2020 until May of 2023, I took on the role of Artistic Director for Bay Area Children’s Theatre, making the official move back to California. I also joined the board for Spellbound Theatre, Story Pirates, and TYA/USA! I continue to look for more opportunities to have a strong voice within the children’s entertainment industry, creating work for young people and their families.
